Membership Renewal: January 1 - March 31

Some tips from the CASLI office staff.

It’s that time of the year again! It's time to renew your membership!

CASLI’s membership renewal campaign runs annually January 1 – March 31. To renew your membership, please go to your profile at avlic.ca as usual. The membership renewal campaign is a very busy time for the CASLI office. In an effort to ensure a more efficient use of the staff’s time, the CASLI office has implemented some new processes and procedures to the membership renewal campaign.

As an example, various forms have been developed in order to collect the information necessary in order to quickly process

• applications for Senior’s discount, membership leave, payment plan program

• requests to update Affiliate Chapter status

If any of these situations apply to you, before using the online renewal system, please fill out the appropriate form and wait to be contacted by the CASLI office. The links to these forms are included in this email, and will also be emailed to members one more time this March. Please watch your inbox on March 1st.

In the effort to make sure the CASLI staff can use their time as efficiently as possible, the office will require all members to use the forms.  

Late Fees

Late renewal fees are applied to members who renew their membership after the deadline of March 31. The late fee is equal to 25% of membership dues.

Every year a few members, who are late to renew, ask the staff to waive the late fee. The staff are unable to do this in order to be fair to everyone who is late in renewing. In addition, late renewals must be processed manually by the office staff, which results in added work for the staff.  The office asks for members to do their best in renewing before the March 31 deadline. Renewing on time will save you money and allows the staff to remain focused on other projects.
