Hello CASLI,
The board is aware that the www.avlic.ca website is not loading normally. When accessed, a "Privacy Error" opens instead reading,
Your Connection is not private. Attackers Might be trying to steal your information from www.avlic.ca (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).
Our team is working with our web host to rectify the issue as soon as possible. We'd like to thank our Administrative Assistant, Sally Scheel, for the time and energy spent on leading these updates and corrections with our web host.
We have been working with our web host on a few items, including updating the SSL certificate (which binds our connections securely to the web server - the s in the https in the URL), extending the online membership renewal process, and now this interruption.
N.B. Membership renewal is stil extended until May 31, 2020. Once resolved make sure to use www.avlic.ca to renew your membership and not www.casli.ca (the temporary website used during last year's AGM and election). This current issue should have no effect on renewals, outside of a bit of internet frustration.
