AVLIC Operating Policies & Procedures Manual Needs Editors for Third Reading Circle

Volunteering for your professional Association is a great way to contribute, meet colleagues on a national scale and learn more about our field of interpreting.

AVLIC needs your assistance in reviewing the updates to the Association's Operating Policies and Procedures Manual.

In 2012, HR Pros was tasked to update, standardize and edit AVLIC's policies and procedures manual as well as create much needed financial and social media policies. HR Pros completed their work in 2014.

The first round of vetting the Operating Policies and Procedures Manual was completed by the Bylaws, Policies and Procedures Committee. The second round of vetting is now underway by a select group of Board members.

Now to further the transparency efforts of AVLIC, we are in search of interested members who are keen on forming a third reading circle to further vet the Operating Policies and Procedures Manual. The group will focus mainly on proofreading and improving the readability of the document. This will also be an excellent opportunity to determine what additional policies are needed to enhance the administration of AVLIC.

Once the third round of vetting is complete, your AVLIC Board of Directors will vet the updated Operating Policies and Procedures Manual for the fourth and final round. Your Board will then formally approve the new Operating Policies and Procedures Manual and post the information to the AVLIC website for all members to view.
