Notice: Test of Interpretation (TOI) Will Not be Offered in 2018

Dear Valued Member,

November 15, 2017 a notice was sent informing members that the 2018 Test of Interpretation (TOI) offering would be postponed until the fall of 2018 due to program staffing limitations.  This is a notice to inform the membership that the TOI will not be offered in 2018.

In July 2018, the CES Phase Three Test of Interpretation Rating Review Team (RRT), comprised of Anita Harding, Amy Parsons, Marty Taylor, Sara MacFayden, Deb Russell and Betty Colonomos, submitted their final report to the AVLIC Board of Directors. Within this report were several recommendations which would serve to address key identified issues within the CES Phase Three: Test of Interpretation program.  One recommendation was to not offer the TOI until such time CASLI has had the time and space to review and implement the other recommendations.

At this time, discussions about CES’s program staffing shortage, as well as the RRT recommendations & next steps are on hold until after the incoming Board is elected.

We look forward to 2019 updates regarding the TOI.
